2016 Gorges, La Tour Gallus, Loire Valley, France, Muscadet Sèvre & Maine Gorges AOC
Since 1680, the Domaine de LA TOUR GALLUS, a 17-hectare vineyard, has been handed down from father to son. It is located in the heart of the Nantes vineyards, surrounded by vines, and offers a splendid and peaceful view of the village of Gorges.
Damien Rineau, a passionate winegrower, brings all his know-how and technical skills as an oenologist to the elaboration of his wines to offer authentic vintages with the perfect expression of a terroir that is dear to him.
Since Damien took over the vineyard in the 1980s, treatments on the grapes have been prohibited. Similarly, insecticides have not been used for several years. And from now on, all the vines are cultivated between the stocks with a grassy strip installed between the rows. Here, the winegrower goes much further than the requirements of the Terra Vitis or HVE level 3 specifications.
