2014 Château de Lionne Rouge, Bordeaux, France, Graves
Mrs. Sérouin received in 1962 the Château de Lionne from her parents. She managed it up to 2007, year when Pierre Bodon & Véronique Smati bought the domain.
Véronique works in the vineyards since her youngest age, and Pierre, a professional nursery gardener, knows very well the vine.
Passioned, they decided to enrich their knowledge of the vineyard with their knowledge of wine. Self-taught from year to year, the soil of the Château de Lionne reveals his secrets and the wines of Château de Lionne find their personality: wines to enjoy with pleasure!
The vineyard has an area of 35.25 hectares, 7,35 hectares in white. Soil: sandy gravel. Density: 5000 vines per hectare. Vineyard age: 30 years.
Harvest is done at night to keep the freshness of the wines. Aged in concrete vats.
