2008 Château Le Trale, Bordeaux, France, Saint-Estèphe
The vineyard plots are located near Château Lafon-Rochet and have been attached tà Château Maurac since 1986. This castle has been bought by the families Gaudin and Leroy in 1998.
Le Trale is a very rare wine of exceptional quality, produced on a very small vineyard of 0ha 12a 20ca planted with vines with an average age of 35 years. Very rare is also the plantation which is composed of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is where this wine finds its perfect marriage between strength and elegance.
Handpicked. Traditional vinification with selection and sorting table. Aging 16 months in barrels. Gravelly soil, clay and limestone.
Production is limited to 900 bottles, definitely a wine not to be missed!
