2008 Mas Belles Eaux, Les Coteaux, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, Languedoc
The domain "Mas des Belles Eaux" (= Mas Nice Waters) owes its name to the many sources flowing on its land.
It is made with 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre.
The vineyard of Mas Belles Eaux extends over 90 hectares of surrounding hills. Bathed in light, it enjoys rare geological features and a complex terroir with small gravel from the Villafranchian on red clay and silt. After a thorough and accurate identification of soils, a reorganization of the entire vineyard of Mas Belles Eaux took place. They concentrated on the Languedoc traditional varieties like Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre or Carignan.
