Pack with a superb “Martin Miller” glas
Martin Miller and his two friends, David Bromige and Andreas Versteegh, kicked off the whole gin ‘new wave’ back in 1999 with the launch of Martin Miller’s eponymous gin involving a little Love, Obsession and, it has to be admitted, more than a Degree of Madness.
Today, juniper is still the single ingredient that defines gin. The quality of the berry and the way in which its oils are extracted all play a part in creating the character of fine gins. That is why Martin Miller sources his juniper from wherever the best berries can be found. Whether that is Tuscany, Macedonia, or as far away as India, is irrelevant. He demands only the finest quality juniper, with the highest oil and flavour content.
Made to a traditional London Dry Style in flavour profile and dryness, this gin uses a mix of ultra traditional distilling methods allied to Martin's own iconoclastic 'take' on gin distilling.
In a break with tradition, he insists two separate distillations for the juniper and earthier botanicals that are later 'married' or blended with a second separate distillation of the citrus elements of bitter orange, lemon and lime peel from Seville. This, he believes, contributes to his gin's unique freshness and clarity of flavour.
