2013 Côtes du Rhône Rouge, Olivier & Lafont, Côtes-du-Rhône, France, Côtes-du-Rhône
The Maison Olivier & Lafont was founded in 2011 by Gerald Lafont and Baptiste OLIVIER. Gerald and Baptiste express through their wines the combination of tradition and modernity, with deep wines but also greedy and fruity. “We are making pleasure wine for consumers” they say. The wines are selections made in the prestigious wineries they advise and where original and sometimes surprising blends arise.
The Maison produces the range Olivier & Lafont. Through this range, they produce precise, elegant and delicious wines, wines of intense pleasure, reminiscent of the delicacy and sweetness of ripe fruit with suave sensations.
This wine is produced from grapes on clay soils with pebbles. The Grenache vines are 70 years old, the Syrah and Mourvèdre are 25 years old. All varieties are vinificated separately. Pumping over is used during the production process. Vinification in stainless concrete tanks.
