Kevin Judd is one of Marlborough's pioneering winemakers. He is the founder of Cloudy Bay and made the first 25 vintages. In 2009 he set up his own estate, Greywacke.

Greywacke's range is primarily based on two grape varieties, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, with the Sauvignon Blanc produced in two distinct styles. The winemaking is clearly quality driven, with fruit harvested at perfect ripeness from the central plains of Wairau and the southern valleys of Malborough.
