Besides the beautiful castle Prieuré-Lichine in Margaux, the domain also has a trading house where well-made wines destinated to a wider audience can be made.
The Cuvée du Fondateur was originally made by Alex Lichine himself. The wine is perfectly balanced with 50% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 15% cabernet franc and is totally in line with what a consumer from a Haut-Medoc desires. Powerful and fruity with a good body. The grapes come from vineyards under contract and must meet a quality charter.
The wine is fully mature and is immediately enjoyable.
