2007 Château Haut-Marbuzet, Bordeaux, France, Saint-Estèphe
Chateau Haut-Marbuzet is one of the oldest estates of Saint-Estephe. The vineyard is perfectly situated on the slopes of gravelly clay mixed with limestone.
The high proportion of Merlot in this assembly (40% ) makes it exceptionally soft, giving rise to the adjective complimentary of "the most sensual wine of Bordeaux" awarded by Robert Parker.
The talent, and the hospitality always warm of the Duboscq family has since long federated and gained the loyalty of the fans of this soft wine, with round tannins and intense flavors.
A long cellaring let the wine give a full expression of the terroir from which it came, Haut-Marbuzet is also full of charm in its youth, developing exciting and spicy aromas of red fruits. ... Considered by some as the most Burgundian wines from Bordeaux, Château Haut-Marbuzet was promoted Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in the revision of the classification of Cru Bourgeois, which occurred in June 2003.
