2000 Domaine Chanson, Clos des Marconnets, Beaune 1er Cru, Burgundy, France, Beaune 1er Cru
1999: Chanson Pere & Fils is integrated in the family group around Bollinger Champagne.
This group of family domains brings together the best specialists in every area: Bollinger and Ayala Champagne, Langlois-Chateau in the Loire, Delamain in Cognac. A new team, with extensive experience in the major areas of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, makes every effort to pursue high quality. Authenticity, letting the terroirs express themselves and a close partnership with the best winemakers of Burgundy contribute to this.
The Marconnets is situated at the top of a hill at the northern tip of the territory of Beaune. This climate takes its name from the Germanic tribe of the Marcomani which settled there around the 3rd century AD. A natural spring spurts out of the domain. Chanson has about 4 hectares, or 40% of the climate. Clay and limestone soil.
