In 1859, the house Champagne Duval-Leroy was born from the marriage of two families.
Since its inception, the family house is located in Vertus, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs and covers approximately 200 hectares. Their control of the raw material is characterized by a large supply of Chardonnay grapes. The predominance of this variety in the development of wines gives the Champagne Duval-Leroy the finesse, lightness and elegance that make it typical.
Led since 1991 by Carol Duval-Leroy (of Belgian origin), the house is one of the few companies in the Champagne with 100% family owned capital and is ranked in the top 15 Champagne houses.
Adjoining the village of Vertus, the Clos des Bouveries is a historical plot of the Duval-Leroy family, rooted in mid-slope with a full orientation to the east. It enjoys exceptional conditions that confer a growth cycle that is earlier and enriches the berries with an intense concentration for optimal organoleptic expression. It is vintaged each year. 100% Chardonnay.
