2005 Jacquesson Avize Champ Caïn, Champagne, France, Champagne
The cuvée Avize Champ Caïn branded by Jacquesson is a collectors champagne !
It’s a Blanc de Blancs champagne, elaborated exclusively during the greatest vintages, coming from the Champ Caïn area located in Avize. This area is situated at the bottom of the slope facing due south on a calcerous soil of a clayey, sandy, silty structure over blocks of Campanian chalk; planted to Chardonnay with 12000 vines over 1,3 ha in 1962.
The cuvée Avize Champ Caïn 2005 was vinified in oak barrels for 9 months before being bottled. This champagne was disgorged in February 2015.
The 2005 vintage has only produced 9.544 bottles and 500 magnums.
