In 1885, at only 20 years old, Mr. Felipe Lagunilla San Martín, founded Bodegas Lagunilla. Under his leadership, he established labels such as Vallezarza, Valderrín and most important, Viña Herminia in 1949, founded in honour of his wife.

The winery is fully equipped and has a modern building constructed in the form of an H, symbolizing the initial of the Herminia brand, which is home to 8,000 American, French and Eastern Europe oak barrels.
