Terra Firme is a family estate located near Pontevedra. Wines have been made here since 1850. The third generation of the current owners, represented by Gerardo Mendez Lázaro, is now specialized in the making of modern wines. Here, they only use the most common local white grape, namely the Albariño, which has great potential for aging. The harvest is done manually. This wine comes from old vines.
Rias Baixas is a region in which, during the last 10 years, enormous progress has been made in making fresh and gourmet white wines that fit fish and shellfish perfectly.
