Since 1808 is the history of the Chapoutier family linked to the great terroirs of the Côtes-du-Rhône. In 1989, when Michel Chapoutier took over the family estate, he wanted to let the soil and the terroir express themselves.

In 1997 Michel Chapoutier goes in search of new terroirs: Australia. He discovers the unique terroir of the Victoria region. In the east of the continent, the region offers many climates, from warm regions with dry autumns to cooler regions like the Australian Pyrenees. This climatic diversity is perfectly suited to Rhone grape varieties. Today he is proud to present the result of this work.
