In 1996, Jean-Yves Bretaudeau took over the vineyards of Domaine du Colombier, a family business for four generations. At the time, the estate was already a member of the Independent Winegrowers' Charter, and today it is certified HVE (High Environmental Value). This approach aims to preserve biodiversity by reducing the use of phytosanitary products, as well as by protecting the plots of land from pests and other climatic hazards by means of natural barriers (hedges, groves, streams). This contributes to obtaining healthier and better quality grapes.
Today, the estate cultivates no less than 13 grape varieties spread over the different plots.
