The Chateau is located in the middle of the appellation of Blaye in Bordeaux. Aurelie and Nicolas Gregoire own 16 hectares of vines on a hill of 65 m. The vineyard consist of one piece around the castle. It is made up of clay-limestone pebbles on the hill and on the plateau the soil contains mainly sand.
They are young winemakers who have considerable expertise and experience in the New World vineyards. They give them an open vision and this is reflected in their wonderful wines.
The grapes are harvested mechanically and come from vines of 25 years. The harvest is followed by selective sorting. There is a yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare. The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels of which one-third is new, and two-thirds used barrels (1, 2 and 3 years).
