2011 Château de Léoube, Le Secret de Léoube, Provence, France, Côtes de Provence

“Produced with great affection and care the best from what the land can offer you …”

This is the owners motto. They have been the owners of Domaine de Léoube for the last ten years. The domaine has 560 hectares including 65 of vineyards and 20 of olive grove devoted to growing vines and olives in one of Europe's most beautiful protected sites.

It also has the advantage to dispose of a passionated winemaker: Romain Ott.

In tune with lunar and seasonal cycles, he helped them bring traditional farming methods back to life, which commited Léoube’s wines to sustainable, and promising progress.

A mixture of schist and clay characterizes the Château Léoube soils. The proximity of the sea, the daily sea breeze and cool nights are all factors that provide an ideal climate for growing grapes. Age of the vines is 22 years.

To obtain a perfect sorting, harvesting is manual only. The grapes are transported directly to the winery where they are pressed immediately. The juice extraction is slow and delicate. Fermentations, alcoholic and malolactic are made in stainless steel tanks.
An exceptionnel and gastronomic rosé.
