2007 Puligny-Montrachet, Veilles Vignes, Bourgogne, France, Puligny-Montrachet
This domain is very old, as it was founded somewhere in the 16th century. It is situated in the center of Puligny-Montrachet.
In 2002 Bernard Clerc decided to resign and a big part of the 11 hectares of vineyard were distributed amongst family members. The famous domain Vincent Girardin bought another important part of the vineyard. For this reason the wines are now made and matured at a modern winemaking facility near Meursault, propriety of Vincent Girardin.
The harvest is always done manually. Wines will mature on barrels with usually one third of new barrels. This wine matured for 13 months on barrels before bottling.
