2013 Secret des Diables 666, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, Saint-Chinian AOP
Situated in the heart of the Languedoc terroir, the Vellas family, passionate about wine, allowed the expansion of its vineyards. 80 hectares of vineyards, 5 properties on which are developed the most beautiful Languedoc appellations.
The crop is harvested by machine as well, part of the production is picked by hand in order to develop wines made of Syrah, Merlot, Carignan.
The Saint-Chinian vineyards are spread over twenty villages, North-West of Béziers. Surrounded by the Caroux and Espinouse hills and crossed by the Orbet and Vernazobre rivers, it is one of the best winegrowing regions in the area and has been an Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (A.O.C.) since 1982 for red and rosé wines and since 2004 for white wines. An extraordinary geological diversity and specific climatic conditions give the wines of Saint-Chinian their unique character.
