2011 Pouilly - Fuissé Joseph Drouhin, Burgundy, France, Pouilly-Fuissé
The vineyards of Pouilly and Fuissé (two separate villages) cover the slopes of Solutré and Vergisson, two well-known cliffs serving as backdrop to this magnificent landscape.
The soil is composed of clay and limestone from the Jurassic age. Ageing partly in stainless steel vats and partly in oak barrels (0% new oak) during 6 to 8 months.
The House cherishes an ideal of elegance and perfection. The "Joseph Drouhin style" marries balance, harmony, finesse and character. With its 73 hectares, the Joseph Drouhin Domaine is one of the largest estates in the region. It owns vineyards in all of Burgundy: Chablis (38,95 hectares), Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, (32,8 hectares ), Côte Chalonnaise (3,75 hectares).
A very attractive wine, a beautiful expression of Chardonnay. Fruity, full of life!
